Saint Lucia: Worth the visit?

I was of 2 minds with Saint Lucia. On the one hand, flights were cheap. Accommodation was also manageable, but a car was DEFINITELY REQUIRED. All in all, I probably spent too much time in Saint Lucia, but that may or may not be because I am a little bit of a "hustle and bustle" traveler. If you're more a relaxed/laid back traveler, Saint Lucia may very well be the place for you.

My trip was 9 days total, which I felt like was a bit too much time. Instead, here is a suggested 7-day itinerary along with suggested excursions (which were kindly gifted to me).

As a note, I would consider car rental to be a strict requirement if you are trying to keep your trip affordable. The streets are pretty pothole-ridden and not well kept, so wear a sports bra and give yourself extra time to return to the airport. If you're arriving late, consider long or far drivers for the next morning: STREETS ARE NOT WELL LIT AT ALL!
